Country Dancing has been a passion for Debbie Cook for many years. She especially loves country dancing and ballroom dancing.
While she loves all types of social dancing, Debbie Cook is a country girl at heart. She specifically enjoys 2-step or line dancing. Currently she is working on improving her skills at 4-count (cowboy) swing as well as the hustle.
For Debbie Cook, country dancing began to peek her interest in high school and has grown her passion and skills ever since. She has over fourteen years of experience in social dancing and has competed with the United Country Western Dance Council Circuit (UCWDC) since 2000. Founded in 1989, the United Country Western Dance Council has advocated country dancing as a social activity for people of all ages and abilities. For nearly 30 years, UCWDC has produced countless festivals and competitions in 20 countries promoting country western dance all across the globe. During her time with UCWDC, Debbie has won four World Championships in multiple categories including:
- Pro-Am
- Classic Couples
- Showcase Couples
- Team Competitions
After gaining all of this experience, Debbie Cook has gone on to become an instructor starting her own dance studio. She is now a professional dancer and has mastered a variety of dancing styles including:
- Ballroom Dancing
- Country Dancing
- Swing
- Salsa Dancing
- Latin
- Regency Dance
Debbie Cook loves dance because it creates unique opportunities to meet new people, develop creativity, improve mental health, stay physically active, and simply have fun!
